Hands-On Science: Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Energy

Children are natural scientists: they ask why, they poke and they test. Guided experiments turn that curiosity into a method — make a prediction, test it, observe, and explain. That's the approach in the RunTheCode Science Lab.
The scientific method, made practical
Every experiment starts with a question and a prediction. Writing the prediction down before testing matters: it lets students compare what they expected with what actually happened, which is where real learning happens.
Chemistry: reactions you can see
Mixing substances and observing changes — bubbles, color shifts, temperature changes — introduces the idea that matter can be transformed. Students learn safe handling and why measuring carefully gives repeatable results.
Physics: forces and motion
Ramps, balls and simple launchers let students explore how force, mass and friction affect movement. Changing one variable at a time teaches the idea of a fair test.
Biology: living systems
Observing plants, cells and simple life cycles builds an understanding of how living things grow and depend on their environment.
Energy and electricity
Magnets, batteries and simple circuits show that energy can be stored, moved and converted. This connects directly to the robotics and engineering labs, so students see how science underpins technology.
